The research team validated their design through a mixed-methods survey with 42 HR professionals and recruiters from major technology companies in Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, and Guangzhou. The results showed strong perceived utility across multiple dimensions:

Legacy applicant tracking systems frequently miss substantial "hidden talent" pools because they rely on traditional credentials. Skills-first approaches have been shown to expand eligible candidate pools by a median factor of 6.1 globally, and up to 15 to 20 percent in mature markets such as the United States, by recognizing non-traditional pathways including bootcamps, micro-credentials, open-source contributions, and experiential learning.

Blockchain-based digital wallets could unlock this potential by making non-traditional credentials instantly verifiable and portable.
